Accessibility

We strive to make sure that RADAR Festival is accessible to everyone. As we’ve moved to our new home at Magna, we’re updating our accessibility processes and information. We’re working hard to provide as much information as possible in advance, and appreciate your patience while we transition to the new venue.

An extensive Accessibility Guide will be published well in advance of the festival. It will once again be hosted by Different Breed, who specialise in accessible fan guides.

The guide will include detailed information about the venue, facilities, maps and accessibility provisions.

Useful information

RADAR Festival is now hosted at Magna, Sheffield.

Please note that Magna’s standard accessibility information may not fully reflect arrangements during RADAR Festival. Our Accessibility Guide will provide the most accurate event-specific information.

  • Buying Tickets

    Buying Tickets

    – Buy a standard festival ticket first.
    – There is no separate Accessible Ticket.
    – If you require an Essential Companion, do not buy them a ticket.
    – Payment plan customers can also apply for accessibility facilities.

  • Accessibility Application

    – Buy your ticket.
    – Email [email protected].

    Include:

    – Full name
    – Order number (if applicable)
    – Brief outline of your requirements
    – If requesting an Essential Companion ticket, attach supporting evidence.
    – We’ll review your application.
    – We’ll email confirmation detailing the facilities available to you.

    Applications will be processed well before the festival, although we cannot currently provide processing times due to our move to a new venue.

  • Facilities

    Current confirmed facilities include:

    – Accessible toilets
    – Changing Places toilet
    – Blue Badge parking
    – Entirely ground-level access

    We are actively working on:

    – Viewing information
    – Welfare facilities
    – Sensory maps
    – Venue maps
    – Re-entry arrangements
    – Bringing medication
    – Bringing essential food and drink

  • Assistance Dogs

    Assistance dogs are welcome.

    Please let us know as part of your accessibility application so suitable arrangements can be made.

  • Wheelchair Spaces and Viewing Areas

    Wheelchair spaces will be available. Please request these as part of your accessibility application.

    Accessible viewing areas are expected to be available. Full details, including locations and application procedures, will be published in our Accessibility Guide.

  • Medical / Welfare / Temporary Impairments

    Welfare facilities will be available throughout the festival.

    If you require assistance during the event, please speak to a member of the RADAR team or our welfare staff.

    If you have any requirements you’d prefer to discuss in advance, please contact us before the festival.

    – Temporary conditions (broken bones, recent injuries, pregnancy etc.) are assessed separately.
    – Capacity limitations may prevent some accessibility facilities being provided.
    – We’ll always do our best to help and suggest alternatives.

Strobe lighting and special effects

Most shows and events now use strobe lighting and smoke effects, but we’ll make sure there are signs up to let you know and you can also ask when you arrive. If this is an issue, please do let one of our team know, before or during an event.
